Easy Agent PRO SSL-secures all LeadSites using Cloudflare. This assures both you and your clients that the information entered on the site is safe.
When you launch your domain, we will add your domain to our Cloudflare account. Typically, we will access your domain registrar account with your permission and update your domain's nameservers, which also transfers control of your DNS records to our Support team.
To start this process, log into your LeadSite's dashboard and go to:
- Progress > To Dos > [Admin >] Launch Your Domain
Click the "Setup Domain" button and fill the form out with your domain and registrar information. If you need additional help with this, click here.
We also offer the following alternatives:
-
Let us secure your domain and manage your DNS, but you update your own nameservers to point to it
-
Create your own Cloudflare account, secure your own domain, and manage your own DNS records
For option #1, contact Easy Agent PRO Support at support@easyagentpro.com with the domain you will be using, and a team member will reply with our nameservers and instructions.
For option #2, start by creating a Cloudflare account. This is completely free.
- Go to https://dash.cloudflare.com/, log into your Cloudflare account, or click "Sign up" to create a new account.
- Once you have access to your Cloudflare dashboard, click ⊕Add site in the header, then enter your domain ("http://" protocol and "www." subdomain are not necessary) and click Add site.
- Choose your plan, then click Continue. A free plan is available and suitable for your needs, however you can select a paid upgraded plan if you prefer.
- Cloudflare will scan your domain for its DNS records. These include any records you may already have added for email, site verification, and more. Once your DNS records are displayed, you have a few adjustments you'll need to make before moving on:
- Any records that are Type A or AAAA with [your domain] or "www" as the Name will need to be changed to an inert value such as "util", and their Proxy status switched to "DNS only".
- Click ⊕Add record and add the following records:
- Type: CNAME
- Name: @ (NOTE: "@" will always automatically turn into your domain when you save)
- Target: the exact domain from the end of your LeadSite's staging URL
(ex. the "eapsites0X.com" from "eap-homes-14.eapsites0X.com") - Proxy status: Proxied
Repeat this for the next record:
-
Type: CNAME
-
Name: www
-
Target: @
-
Proxy status: Proxied
-
- You may find a CNAME record that already has the Name "www". If so, you can just click the Content text to edit it and replace it with "@".
- Click Continue.
- Any records that are Type A or AAAA with [your domain] or "www" as the Name will need to be changed to an inert value such as "util", and their Proxy status switched to "DNS only".
- Change your domain's nameservers in your registrar. If you're using your own Cloudflare account, you can click the "Click to copy" links next to your Cloudflare nameservers on the next page:
You will need to log into the account your domain is stored in. This process is different for every registrar, so here are some guides that may help if you get stuck or have questions:- If your registrar is not one of these, you can search the web or your registrar's help center for instructions.
- Click Done, check nameservers, and you will be taken to Do More With Cloudflare. There are a couple things you need to do here:
- Click Configuration recommendations
- Click on the switch next to Always Use HTTPS and make sure it's toggled on :
- Click the go to the overview page link at the bottom of the page
- You will be taken to the domain Overview page. Click on the SSL/TLS button, then click on Edge Certificates. On this page, you will be watching the Status in the bar near the top of the page below
• Hosts | Type | Status | Expires on
It will likely go through a few steps while you wait, such as: "No Certificate", "Initializing", "Pending Validation", "Pending Issuance", and "Pending Deployment".
This will usually take a few minutes, but may take up to 24 hours. Just keep refreshing this page until it says Active. - After this is complete, click the Overview tab under the SSL/TLS section (to the left of the Edge Certificates tab), and make sure your SSL/TLS encryption mode is Full.
- Contact Easy Agent PRO Support at support@easyagentpro.com with the domain you will be using.
