With our new IDX lead capture form, getting leads through IDX property searches and listings has never been easier or more effective!
With a little bit of setup, viewers on your site can sign up using their Facebook account, Google account, or email! This will allow them to save property searches and listings to their account and come back to compare properties later!
Navigate to the IDX App
Press the "Settings" tab toward the top of the page to see the lead capture settings page.
If the boxes next to "IHOMEFINDER LOGIN" is filled in with the placeholder text "email@example.com" and "password123", you will have to reach out to us to get that connected.
You can send in an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and say you would like to get your high conversion lead capture set up!
Once that is done, make sure the "HIGH CONVERSION LEAD CAPTURE" slider is over to the right and blue. Press the Save button to enable the High Conversion Lead Capture form!
Now you have many options to configure how your Lead Capture form works. The first setting you will want to decide on is your lockdown mode.
"Locked" means that users on your site will be required to login on your site before they can view IDX listings. This will affect your Basic Search page, Advanced Search page, and an Instafarm pages you have.
For each of the search pages, users will be able to input criteria for a search and press the search button, but once they land on the results, they will have to login before they can go any further.
For Instafarm pages, people will be able to land on you Instafarm pages, but will be required to login if they press on any of the listings installed onto your Instafarm page.
"Soft" means that users will be prompted in all of those same locations, but the user can navigate away from the form to view IDX listings. The user will not be prompted to register again, but they can use any of the other methods of signing up that are included with your site's IDX listings.
"Off" will turn the form off completely, so users can navigate freely throughout your site without being prompted to login to your site, or make an IDX account.
Choose your setting that best fits with your goals for your site and then hit the "Save" button!
Next, you have an option of forcing email confirmation when someone signs up on your site. We don't recommend turning this on unless you are having trouble with spam leads, because it causes extra friction to people who might have otherwise been tempted to create an IDX account on your site! But the option is there if you need it!
Now, if you navigate to the Lead Capture Form option in the left-hand tool bar, you can choose a template for your Lead Capture form! Below is a list of the Lead Capture Form types and what they include:
This form includes all of the lead capture methods that we have. First Name, Last Name, Email, Wildcard, and Google and Facebook login. This is our most versatile form, giving users plenty of options to login to your site, but if a user logs in using either the Facebook or Google options, you will only get an email as a lead, which may not be ideal for you.
No Social Sign In
This form includes First Name, Last Name, Email, and a Wildcard section. This is the best form if you require more than just an email as a lead. The Wildcard section is great if you would like to ask a couple of questions to the user signing up like "how did you find us?" or "what's the best time to call to discuss buying/selling a home?" Editing the Wildcard Fields is discussed after this list.
Social Sign In Only
Social Sign In is a quick and easy Facebook and Google account sign in option. Users who click on those buttons will just need to allow Facebook or Google to sign in using their account, if they are already logged into their Facebook or Google account. Leads generated from these options will only include their account email for Google or Facebook.

This mode will only show the email field and social authentication. Perfect for building your email list and getting better conversion via short lead capture forms.
In case you would like to only have a Facebook sign up option, you can choose this form. We do not recommend this as it limits the options available to your visitors.

You can choose which Lead Capture Form you would like to use and then make sure to hit the "Save Changes" near the top-right corner of the page!
To make changes to the Wildcard Fields, navigate to the Lead Capture Form page and press the "Wildcard Fields" tab.
You can add up to two optional Wildcard questions, in case there is some burning question or another bit of information that you would like to ask for!
After you have added your question(s), don't forget to hit the "Save Changes" button!
